10 Photos of the Statue of Liberty

Let’s face it, pre-shutdown New York City involved a specific routine: hustle and bustle day in and day out which made it a bit difficult to find time to seek out attractions in the city. I decided to visit the Statue of Liberty as an early birthday celebration and brought along my Canon EOS Rebel T6 camera to photograph Lady Liberty in all her glory against an overcast skyline. 

We purchased ferry tickets online a few days prior to our visit. On the day of, we arrived 35 minutes in advance as requested and were greeted by a friendly crew at the security checkpoint upon boarding.

If you’re concerned about safety, the staff were all masked and passengers practiced distancing.

A quick 5-minute ferry ride from Battery Park in Lower Manhattan and we docked on the historical Liberty Island.
